York began his accounting career as a part-time bookkeeper in a public accounting business doing bookkeeping, payroll administration and aiding with tax preparation assignments. The experience gave him an early exposure to client service, financial recordkeeping, and the need of precise accounting information.

Later he became a Senior Accountant in a health product manufacturing company where he was responsible for the entire cycle of accounting process and supported legal documents, recruitment efforts and staff training. The employment gave him a broader appreciation of how company operates and developed his capacity to work across several functions inside an organisation.

York has been working with A&S and Accountor CPA for the last 4 years, handling corporate tax compliance, personal tax prep, audit engagements and bookkeeping services for clients. His experience working with entrepreneurs and small business owners has given him unique insight into the financial and tax problems facing developing enterprises. He is noted for his methodical approach, his analytical thinking and his ability to explain difficult accounting issues in a clear and practical way.
