Liezel Wage - Payroll Manager
Liezel Wage is a highly motivated and accomplished accounting professional with over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliations. Based in Calgary, Alberta, she also oversees the payroll division at Accountor, bringing leadership and practical expertise to the firm’s payroll function.
She brings extensive knowledge in full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, journal entries, accruals and adjustments, payroll, tax compliance, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation, Liezel combines strong technical knowledge with hands-on experience. She is highly proficient in Advanced Excel and experienced with cloud-based and enterprise systems including QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Sage, FAS, Prologue, UKG, and SAP Concur. Organized, results-oriented, and adaptable to new systems and processes, she is committed to delivering accurate, reliable, and timely accounting and payroll solutions that support organizational success.
Outside of her professional life, Liezel enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys playing badminton and board games, cooking new recipes, and watching movies, reflecting a balanced, energetic, and family-oriented lifestyle.
