JT Sugar - Associate Partner

JT, an Associate Partner at Accountor CPA, brings extensive experience in accounting to the firm. His role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including building and maintaining client relationships, driving business development, leading and mentoring teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and contributing strategically to the firm’s success.

A proud alumnus of Western University, JT earned a BMOS degree with a specialization in accounting and is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) in good standing with CPA Ontario. His educational and professional background reflects his unwavering commitment to excellence in the field.

Before joining Accountor CPA, JT worked in public accounting field and most recently gained invaluable experience working for a start-up funded by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. In this role, he collaborated closely with portfolio companies, focusing on scaling businesses from 0 to 1 and creating shareholder value for pensioners. This unique experience sharpened his strategic and entrepreneurial skills, making him an invaluable asset in navigating complex business environments.

Outside of work, JT enjoys spending time with his family and dog and is an avid fan of team sports, particularly ice hockey, football and baseball. His passion for teamwork extends beyond the rink and the diamond, as he applies the same principles of collaboration and leadership to his professional life.
